Slideshow - Racing Clinic 2004

The 2004 Racing Clinic was a great success. Coach Debbie Kirkby gave us some excellent insights from her championship dinghy racing experience and we had two afternoons of fresh breezes, challenging drills, and fun racing. Thanks to Debbie and to all those who turned out.

Debbie Kirkby was an excellent coach for our group, thanks to ASA for
providing her! She worked well with the different levels of experience,
provided great pre-race talks, after race talks, pushed us on many drills -
starts, tacking, covering, mark rounding, 720 penalties, etc. Small courses
and 3 minute starts provided for a lot of racing and practice. I believe
that people left with more sailing/racing skills in their pocket, a little
more confidence in their boat handling and with a good feeling about Ghost
Lake Sailing Club - they had FUN!!!

We had:

• 12 participants/5 boats on Saturday
• 23 for dinner Saturday night
• 15 participants/6 boats on Sunday
