About GLSC
The Ghost Lake Sailing Club (GLSC) was
created in 1999 to
promote recreational sailing and sailboat racing on Ghost Lake, Alberta,
Canada.
As of 2008 the GLSC has become effectively inactive
due to a lack of volunteer support.
Ghost Lake

Ghost
Lake is located 17 kilometres west of Cochrane on the 1A highway,
approximately 30 minutes from northwest Calgary. Created by
the Ghost hydro dam in 1929 at the confluence of the Bow and
Ghost Rivers, Ghost Lake stretches approximately 9 km before
shoaling
again
into the upper Bow River. The lake holds two small islands
and
several protective coves. The Ghost Lake Provincial Recreation
Area features newly reconstructed (2007) launch facilities,
Ghost Lake Recreations chandlery and boat yard, and overnight
camping. |
